Lot #333A one piece bat from Eton 1863. The bat with ‘Scarlett’ and ‘Windsor’ impressed to top shoulders of the face with hand painted inscription below, ‘Brocas Eton Aug. 27th 1863’, in gold lettering and black highlighting with decorative borders. To the back, the inscription in ink of ‘T. Mayne Eton’. The back of the bat is slightly concave rather than ridged, flattening towards the toe. The bat measures 33.5”, weighing 1lb 7oz, with bound handle. Bought by the late vendor at auction in Australia. So
